Looks like Samsung buried Galaxy Note: the company did not renew the trademark rights

The Galaxy Note line is ten years old this year, but the anniversary smartphone has not seen the light of day. Initially, there was a rumor that the company canceled the device due to low demand and the lack of any features that favorably distinguish it from other flagships of the company. Samsung later confirmed that the new Galaxy Note should not be expected this year.

The impression was that for a number of reasons (the lack of components and the desire to promote new bending smartphones) the company simply decided to take a break. Now, however, all indications are that the company has buried the Galaxy Note. This confirms the fact that Samsung has not renewed the rights to the trademark of the same name. That is, the company does not plan to use this brand in the future. The Samsung Galaxy Note20 has a chance to make history as the last smartphone in the Galaxy Note lineup.

According to the latest data, almost 40,000 people have already signed a petition asking the South Korean company to release a new Galaxy Note series smartphone at least in the first half of 2022.

Samsung previously said the company will provide key Note features to a range of other devices. The Galaxy S line now includes a model with a huge screen and support for the S-Pen stylus, which was previously the hallmark of the Note series. Also, stylus support has been added to the Galaxy Z Fold3.
