The government of Rio de Janeiro presented this Monday (8) the notice of the new attempt to grant lot 3 of assets of the Cedae, with 21 participating cities and a minimum grant value of R$1.1 billion.
Lot 3 went on sale in April this year with seven cities and was left without interested parties. The government intends to hold the auction of the remodeled lot at the end of December.
The total population covered by the project rose from 1.9 million to 2.7 million, said the secretary of state at the Civil House, Nicola Miccione.
The winner of the event will have to invest R$4.7 billion to universalize water distribution and sewage collection and treatment services over a 35-year contract.
Despite the minimum value of the concession being R$ 1.1 billion, the government’s expectation of Rio de Janeiro is that the collection can exceed R$ 4 billion.
In the April auction, the concession of lots 1, 2 and 4 generated grants of more than R$ 22 billion, compared to the minimum of the public notice of R$ 10.6 billion.
The auction for lot 3 was scheduled for December 29, at B3. The 21 cities in lot 3 are: Bom Jardim, Bom Jesus do Itabapoana, Carapebus, Carmo, ItaguaÃ, Itatiaia, Macuco, Natividade, Paracambi, Pinheiral, PiraÃ, Rio Claro, Rio das Ostras, western region of Rio de Janeiro, São Fidélis , São José de Ubá, Sapucaia, Seropédica, Sumidouro, Trajano de Moraes and Vassouras.
