Louis of Cambridge, the “secret” message for his maternal grandparents (and Kate Middleton’s reaction)

The six-year-old prince, on the “Tree of Kindness” outside Westminster Abbey, hung a note whose contents were revealed by the cameras present at the event: «Thanks to grandma and grandpa because they played with me», Louis wrote in his own hand on a red note. Kate wanted to read the colored card before the little one at home hung it on the tree. And after seeing it, he wrapped his son in a tender embrace. George and Charlotte also hung messages on the “Tree of Kindness.” But the cameras failed to reveal their contents.

That Louis’ tender words were addressed to his maternal grandparents was obvious to all royal observers. Since Kate – like King Charles – has been battling cancer, Carole and Michael have been an unshakable pillar for their daughter, lovingly caring for the children and lightening Prince William’s burden. It is no coincidence that there was a tribute to the Middleton grandparents in the video in which Kate announced the end of chemotherapy last September: in the video they could be seen Carole and Michael played cards, laughed and joked with their grandchildren.

Already months ago, on the other hand, the royal expert Ingrid Sewar had written that since Kate has been ill, Carole Middleton has been “at the helm of the management of the little Cambridges”. Which has always been described as «the most beloved grandmother» from little George, Charlotte and Louis. Really “ubiquitous” in their life. She herself had said some time ago that when she hosts children on her estate in Berkshire she really spares no effort to keep them entertained: «We run on hills, we climb treeswe go through the tunnel to the playground, we go cycling. I cook with them and I enjoy dancing.” It seems that, at least in the past, grandfather Charles III was even jealous of Carole, who was “taking his grandchildren hostage” and preventing him from seeing them as much as he wanted. True or not, since Kate and King Charles have been battling cancer, the “omnipresence” of Carole – and her husband Michael – has probably seemed like a blessing to everyone. Including six-year-old Louis, who wanted to dedicate a tender message to his maternal grandparents for Christmas.
