Louis Vuitton has once again caused controversy due to its designs and high costs, as it has launched a miniature bag to collect pet feces.
Santiago Chavez, tiktoker of Peruvian origin, was in charge of showing the exclusive bag that is sold for a “minimum” amount of 18 thousand Mexican pesos, something like 900 dollars. The video with the images went viral, generating ridicule and criticism of the prestigious brand.
Chavez entered a Louis Vuitton store with the intention of corroborating the rumor of the sale of bags to collect dog feces and was surprised to see that this was true.
I’m at Louis Vuitton and they told me that there is a bag to collect dog feces.
The employee of the place showed him the small bag, whose price is 3,500 soles, about 900 dollars, that is, 17,884 Mexican pesos.
@santiagochavezirus We fell into the trap 🤙🏻😔 #Louis Vuitton #santichavez #Peru #Peruvian #shopping
The clip went viral almost immediately, reaching more than two million views so far and accumulating multiple criticisms, as it seems that the tiktoker he bought the minibag for his pet.
Look what I bought you, we fell into capitalism!
@santiagochavezirus I hope I can help people who really need it! ❤️ #santichavez #Peru #Peruvian
Due to the negative comments, Chávez uploaded a second clip clarifying that he did not buy the bag and that instead he would do a raffle to give 500 soles to five people.
Despite this, Internet users showed no mercy to the luxury brand and went against it, mentioning that this type of product only promotes excessive consumerism and that it seems a mockery of everyday life.
