THE Louis Vuitton this week opened a store and a restaurant inside Terminal 2 at Heathrow Airport which serves the London region and is Britain’s main aviation hub.
baptized by Le Café Cyril Lignac the restaurant is located inside the new store and is designed by the French chef Cyril Lignac known for its bistros in Paris and London and for its pâtisserie in both the French capital and St. Tropez.
With a futuristic appearance, the restaurant is marked by golden and orange tones and the brand’s own objects, including sculptures on the ceiling that evoke birds and table sets, such as plates and cutlery.
The menu
The menu was designed for the whole day, with classic meals and others that are the chef’s signature, such as the crab and avocado salad with apple and radish (32 euros; around R$236).
Also on the menu are items such as the Lobster Roll (30 euros; R$220); a classic Caesar salad (22 euros; R$162) and two versions of Croque-Monsieur, one traditional (£22; R$162) and the other with truffle cheese sauce (28 euros; R$207).
Among the desserts there is a sweet inspired by Louis Vuitton, which is a crunchy chocolate with raspberry (18 euros; R$ 135).
There are also gianduja and strawberry brioches, pain au chocolat (9 euros; R$66) and croissant (7.5 euros; R$55).
This is the first collaboration between the chef and the brand, in addition to being Louis Vuitton’s first gastronomic venture in the United Kingdom .
Since 2020, the French maison has been investing in restaurants, cafes, chocolate shops and lounges around the world. Today there are 11 culinary concepts of the brand, including Le Café V in Tokyo and the lounge at Doha Airport, in Qatar.
Heathrow Terminal 2
Called “the Queen’s terminal”, the new Terminal 2 was opened in 2014 by Queen Elizabeth II. It has 40 thousand square meters and accommodates short and long-haul flights.
According to the administration, 148 million passengers have passed through the terminal since it opened. Added to this are destinations in more than 30 countries and more than one million flights.
Between August 2023 and August 2024 alone, Heathrow Airport served 82.6 million passengers.
