“Love Island”: how is the reality show hosted by Giulia De Lellis

Love Island Italia, as in the international versions, it is not made to give its protagonists the chance of a lasting love, but to ensure the public the possibility of rediscovering themselves lightly: of a “lightness” that brings with it a good dose of adolescent regurgitation. The show is the instinct that prevails over reason, it is the celebration of today, the suppression of any critical thought concerning the consequences or the future. It is impulse, the ability to ignore the judgment of others and selfishness. And it’s short, as any reality show should learn to be. Love Island it is not romanticism, but a worthy summer solace without any intellectual pretense, within which Giulia De Lellis deserves a special mention.
