Loverdos: If I am elected president, we will not give Greece to ND nor PASOK to SYRIZA

“If I am elected president, we, all together as a collective, will not give Greece to New Democracy and we will not give PASOK to SYRIZA.” This was emphasized, among others, by the MP of the Movement for Change and candidate for the presidency of the party, Andreas Loverdos, during an interview he gave tonight in Patras, during his tour in Achaia.

Also, Andreas Loverdos, answering a journalist’s question about the poll findings published today, pointed out that “I continue with strength, unity and modesty and the last thing I could do is to choose rivals for the second round”. In fact, as he added, “this would be arrogant, it would be foreign to my own political course, my ethos and my beliefs.”

At the same time, he stressed that “what I want to suggest is for all politicians to be strictly politicians and to avoid personal antagonisms and vices caused by bitterness and to realize that our electorate, as well as all citizens, want us united.”

“My own contribution to unity,” he continued, “is a given, because I have done it four more times.” However, as he stressed, “I want to say that the unity of the next day, after the 5th of December, is built today by the behaviors and the words that will be said and heard before the 5th of December” and added: “I remain faithful In the beginning, I will hold high the flag of politics, because this election must be turned into a celebration of Democracy, which will crush the party mechanisms “.

Then, Andreas Loverdos addressed a call for political participation, which, as he said, “will end the trench battles, put aside all personal opposition and promise a very large percentage in the upcoming parliamentary elections.”

Answering another journalist’s question about the participation in the internal party elections, he said that “my image that emerges from my tours is that voters will come from many parties, which is why I estimate that the participation on December 5 will be greater. from that of 2017 “.

He also said that “we are at the center of the political system and not on the sidelines, and we will remain at the center of the political system, if with the choices of the electorate on December 5 we have a credible path to the parliamentary elections.”

“We offer such an option, that is why we ask for the trust of the citizen and we will reciprocate it the next day” noted Mr. Loverdos.
