The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued a red alert for at least seven Brazilian states due to low humidity. According to the institute, the alert will continue until at least 6:30 pm this Thursday (3).
According to Inmet, the seven states with low humidity are: Federal District, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Mato Grosso, Goiás, Piauí and Tocantins.
For these regions, the recommendation is as follows:
Instructions
- Drink plenty of fluids
- Physical activities are harmful in such dry weather
- Avoid sun exposure during the hottest hours of the day
- Use skin moisturizer and humidify the environment
- Avoid diuretic drinks (coffee and alcohol)
According to Inmet, there are 14 states with some type of alert for low humidity in Brazil.
Heat wave
In addition to the alerts due to humidity, the Institute also issued a warning for five other states, due to the strong heat wave that is still affecting some regions of the country.
