Lucas Henrique former BBB 24 participant, used social media to vent about the attacks fatphobic which he has been receiving since leaving the program.
In the video, Buddha shares some comments he received on his posts and reveals that this has always been a present issue in his life.
“For a long time I had problems with my self-esteem, with my body and with the way I saw myself in the world because of comments like this. However, with maturity and therapy, I found a way to love and accept myself as I am. It’s not comments like these that will make me feel more or less beautiful, despite that being their goal”, he shares.
In his speech, Lucas also recalls that he was a record holder for winning competitions in the reality show. “This is the body I have, this is the body I am and this is the body I am proud to be and inhabit. It’s the body that made me the record holder for Big Brother Brazil events”, he mentions.
In the comments of the publication, several followers supported the ex-BBB. Some former inmates of the program also showed solidarity with Buddha.
“Each person offers what they have, right? And unfortunately, many people on the internet only have hate to offer. I loved the video Lucas, you are incredible and a being full of light who deserves all the success in this world. Fly and fly high, I’m loving following you”, he wrote Raquel .
Leidy Elin also made a comment to his friend: “You are incredible, I am very proud of who you are, and your courage to face all of this is beautiful to see! I am with you and I will never let go of your hand. No more attacks, let’s live in peace and spread lots of love around…”
Last but not least, Marcus Vinicius he also wrote to the teacher: “Absurd! Enough of these attacks. The guy is badass! On countless occasions he has shown himself to be one of the most intelligent people who have ever passed through that house, but they choose not to see it and go on offense. Lucas Henrique, you are incredible and will shine a lot.”
