Luciano Szafir parades with a colostomy bag at São Paulo Fashion Week

Actor Luciano Szafir walked on Thursday night (18th) at São Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW) wearing an ostomy bag, also known as a colostomy bag.

Szafir uses the item since he faced complications from Covid-19 and was hospitalized for 35 days in Rio de Janeiro.

During hospitalization, the actor had complications and had to undergo surgery on the abdomen to remove a hematoma and a segment of the colon, one of the parts of the large intestine.

The appearance, as the actor wrote on social media, was conceived together with stylist Walério Araújo, founder of the brand for which Sfazir paraded. “I’ve been planning this for a long time and this surprise at the show was thought out in every detail”, says a publication by the actor.

In the text, Sfazir states that the day of the parade was “very happy” because, in addition to the parade, it was able to “raise people’s awareness about the importance of using an ostomy bag”.

“The message I want to give everyone is that the ostomy doesn’t define anyone! Let’s be happy as we are, let’s accept others as they are and give thanks for the opportunities that life brings us!”, he wrote.
