Ludmilla comments on cases of racism: “There are many, I can’t count them”

Singer Ludmilla commented on the racist attacks she suffered during her career in an interview shown on TV on Sunday night (3). According to the artist, the cases are so frequent that she doesn’t know exactly how many have happened. “I didn’t stop to count them because there are so many, I can’t count them,” she said.

“It hurt a lot the first few times it happened. I think I didn’t have enough maturity, nor enough understanding to deal with the situation. Now I’m stronger, I’m more resilient. I have a much better team around me. We are already in contact with a police officer specializing in racial crime,” he said in the interview shown by Fantástico, from Globo, and conducted by journalist Maju Coutinho.

“I told my lawyers, to the people I hang out with: even if it’s the last thing I do in my life, someone has to pay for it because it’s a crime,” said the artist.

Maternity

During the interview, Ludmilla and Brunna Gonçalves, the singer’s wife, detailed the motherhood process. The two intend to be mothers soon. “This is always the topic of our conversation. Bringing a child into the world today is a courageous thing”, said Ludmilla. “But we are very happy and confident,” she added.

According to Brunna, the couple is still at the beginning of the process. “But when we did the first tests, it looked like we were already pregnant.” According to the dancer, the pregnancy should occur next year. The egg must be from Ludmilla, fertilized by donor material, and the embryo will be gestated by Brunna.
