After the success of her first pagode release, singer Ludmilla deepened her journey through suffering in her new project album “Numanice”, which features unprecedented partnerships with Marília Mendonça and Péricles.
The album “Numanice #2” was recorded live in a presentation for a restricted audience at the Museu do Amanhã, in Rio de Janeiro, in July this year.
The songs were released on streaming platforms on Tuesday (23), and on Wednesday (24), videos from the show were also published on Ludmilla’s YouTube channel.
One of the highlights of the recorded show was the presentation of the unreleased “Insônia”, music by Ludmilla with posthumous participation by Marília Mendonça.
It is the second posthumous release of the country queen of suffering, who died in a tragic plane crash in late 2021.
In July of this year, also with the authorization of Marília’s family, the EP “Decretos Reais” was released, which reached high ratings.
“We’ve been preparing this for a long time,” writes the caption of a video of the two singers, which was shown at the end of the song’s performance.
Another special guest of “Numanice #2” was the singer Pericles, who sang the also unpublished song “Signs of Fire”.
“We sang a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful song…and I was so honored to be a part of it. This was a long time to go and when it did, it was a joy and I hope everyone enjoys the song.”
The “Numanice” project emerged from a joke Ludmilla had with her fans. In the contest for the 2019 Multishow Award, the singer promised fans that if she won, she would launch a pagode.
The “Best Female Singer” award came, as did the project’s first EP, with six unreleased tracks released in April 2020.
According to Ludmilla’s advice, all the songs were in the top 40 of the most listened to in the country, the videos of the live performance received more than 400 million plays and the project was also transformed into a concert tour.
““Numanice” has become a huge project without the slightest pretense. Of course, I imagined that people would like it, but I never imagined that I would release so much content in such a short time and that I would set new records in the segment. I am very happy for this and very grateful to the entire pagode community, which has always been very generous and receptive to me”, said Ludmilla in a press release.
