Ludmilla responded this Monday morning (22) to accusations that she had practiced religious intolerance by displaying a message about Jesus and Tranca Rua on the screen at the Coachella show, which took place on Sunday (21).
During the performance of “Rainha da Favela”, fans who went to the festival in California recorded the moment in which the message “Só Jesus expels Tranca Rua das Pessoas” could be read on the screen on the main stage.
Tranca Rua is a phalanx of Umbanda exus represented by a trident, which caused the Christian community to associate its image with the Devil, a figure typical of Christianity.

In response, the voice of “Piña Colada” and “Cheguei” stated that the phrase was taken out of context, as the video shown in the show portrays the reality of the places where she grew up and lived. Ludmilla also said that religious intolerance is a position “completely contrary” to hers.
“When I said you would have to make an effort to say bad things about me, I didn’t think you would go that far,” he said in a text published on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Don’t put me in that place, you know who I am and where I came from. Don't try to limit where I go. I respect all people as they are, and regardless of any faith, race, gender, sexuality or any particularity that makes them unique.”
