The first reaction of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was recorded today, three days after the incident that caused international outcry, with Mandatory landing of a Ryanair aircraft in Minsk and allegations of “state hijacking”.
Mr Lukashenko today accused “those who want the evil of his country” of trying to strangle Belarus, according to the Belta news agency and Broadcasting.
Lukashenko defended the way the former Soviet republic was managed the forced landing of Ryanair flight on Sunday and accused those who criticized the move of “breaking red lines” and abandoning common sense in their attacks on Belarus.
According to Belta, he also stated that external forces are waging a “hybrid war” against Belarus.
