Lula and Zelensky will not meet at the G7, but time offer was made by the Brazilian government, sources say

Lula will return to Brazil from the G7 in Hiroshima without meeting with the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. But government sources say the offer of a time slot has been made to Ukrainians.

In the waiting room next to where President Lula’s bilateral meetings take place, the flags of Ukraine and Brazil were superimposed in the early afternoon. Before the meeting with the Prime Minister of Vietnam, journalists were invited to go up to the floor where the bilateral meetings took place and advisors signaled that another important meeting could take place.

Planalto sources do not explain why the meeting did not take place, nor why flags were positioned in front of journalists who went up to the hotel waiting room to take pictures. They just limit themselves to saying that the Brazilian government even proposed a time to receive Zelensky.
