Former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, a pre-candidate for Palácio do Planalto, gave up on the idea of revoking the labor reform approved during the Michel Temer government, according to Solidarity president Paulinho da Força. The investigation is by CNN anchor Daniela Lima.
After the controversy surrounding the release of the preview of the PT government program, Lula personally called party presidents, especially Paulinho da Força, from Solidariedade. The PT guaranteed that the term “revocation” will be extinct from the program.
The trade union centrals themselves are opposed to the revocation of all points in the text. They advocate fine-tuning while retaining some of the workers’ bargaining power.
PT president Gleisi Hoffmann stated that, despite the repeal of the reform having been approved internally by the party, there is no unanimity among the others that make up the coalition for Lula’s candidacy. The idea is to replace “repeal” with modernization.
