The PT’s pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), married sociologist Rosângela Silva, known as Janja, on the night of this Wednesday (18), in a ceremony held in São Paulo.
The religious act began at 7:30 pm and ended around 8:10 pm. The former president arrived at the site around 18:25.
Politicians were present, such as ex-president Dilma Rousseff (PT), the pre-candidate for the vice presidency on the PT ticket, Geraldo Alckmin (PSB), the ex-mayor of São Paulo Fernando Haddad (PT), pre-candidate for the government of São Paulo, and federal deputy Marcelo Freixo (PSB-RJ), pre-candidate for the government of Rio de Janeiro.

This is the third marriage for Lula, who was widowed on both previous occasions.
The PT’s first marriage was with Maria de Lourdes da Silva, in 1969. Lourdes died two years after the wedding, a victim of hepatitis.
In 1974, Lula married Marisa Letícia, the former first lady who died in 2017 after a stroke.
