Luxury chain Four Seasons announces hotel in Venice, Italy

Located near the Grand Canal and Piazza San Marco, three historic buildings dating from the 14th and 19th centuries, connected by bridges, make up the iconic Hotel Danieli, which from 2025 will be called the Hotel Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel.

With Venetian Gothic architecture present in every detail, in addition to works of art and antiques that are part of the local heritage, the hotel is considered the most luxurious in Venice with a prime location in the heart of the city, and will undergo an extensive renovation project before being reopened as Four Seasons.

Renowned designer Pierre-Yves Rochon will be in charge of the interiors. He has also signed on to other renovations at the chain’s historic properties in Europe, including hotels in Florence, Paris, Cap-Ferrat and Megève. During the renovation period, the hotel will remain open with some services available.

“Italy is one of the luxury traveler’s favorite destinations and one of our development focuses, with strategic renovations and incredible new projects,” he said. Bart Carnahan President of Global Business Development and Portfolio Management at Four Seasons.

Venice is a landmark for global tourism, celebrated for art, culture and architecture. The city’s unique geography is also an attraction in itself, built on an archipelago of hundreds of islands, some of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
