In yacht Sehrazat140 meters long and worth 700 million dollars, located in the resort of Marina Di Carrara in the region of Tuscany, in central Italy, is reported today by the Italian and international press, against the background of Western sanctions against Moscow, thanks to which respective vessels of Russian oligarchs have already been seized.
In their article, the New York Times wonder if the luxury yacht belongs to persons of the Russian elite or, in particular, to the Vladimir Putin.
According to the Italian press, the country’s financial police boarded the boat on March 4 and did thorough control.
The captain, according to Sky Italia, denies that the yacht belongs to Russian billionaires and adds that “Putin has never visited it.”
The New York Times, however, notes that the captain of Sehrazat, refused to reveal ownerretransmits the APE.
They add that in the end -after a pressing request- was obliged to hand over the relevant documents to the Italian police. At present, the only information that has been verified is that the yacht was launched in 2020 and that it bears the flag of the Cayman Islands.
