LVMH released a game with NFT in partnership with Beeple

Luxury and luxury goods maker LVMH has launched a non-fungible token (NFT) gaming app, part of which was created by digital artist Beeple.

In celebration of its 200th anniversary, luxury brand Louis Vuitton is launching a gaming app featuring the NFTs of renowned digital artist Beeple.

The release of the Louis: The Game app is also timed to coincide with the birthday of the company’s founder Louis Vuitton. The NFT-based game includes stories from the life of the founder and is a quest. Beeple has designed 10 of the 30 NFTs in the game that players can collect as they progress through the game.

Louis Vuitton previously worked with Beeple on digital prints for the Spring / Summer 2019 collection. Recall that in March, the British auction house Christie’s held the first auction with a lot in the form of NFT – a digital painting by the artist Beeple was sold for a record $ 69.3 million.

The gaming app is the first Louis Vuitton initiative in the NFT industry. Apparently, the names of the game will vary from region to region. For example, the Financial Times writes that the game was named “200 Anecdotes”, while other publications mention the name “Louis: The Game”.

LVMH has experimented with blockchain on numerous occasions in the past. In the spring, it became known that LVMH, Prada and Cartier will use blockchain to combat counterfeit goods, and in 2019 LVMH, Microsoft and ConsenSys created a blockchain platform for authenticating luxury goods.
