Addressing Italian industrialists, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi said today that his government was ready to intervene again to help tackle rising energy costs and support the country’s households and businesses.
The Italian prime minister recalled that “the government of Rome has already allocated 1.2 billion euros for this purpose last June and more than 3 billion euros in September.”
“We will intervene again, for the financially weakest citizens, through the 2022 state budget and we are ready to continue to do so,” said Mario Draghi.
According to political analysts, this move by the Italian technocratic prime minister is a response to the demands of almost all parties in his government, for stronger support of businesses and citizens who are called to bear the burden of the large increase in electricity and gas bills. .
