M. Katrinis: The need for purification is imperative

The “need for purification” became even more imperative after the cynical recent appearance of the prime minister, said from the floor of the Parliament, the head of the parliamentary group of PASOK-Movement for Change, Michalis Katrinis, speaking about his party’s proposal for the establishment of a commission of inquiry on the issue of monitoring Nikos Androulakis. The appearance of the prime minister in the relevant discussion of the leaders “showed the people what happened with the wiretapping and who is really responsible,” said Mr. Katrinis and continued: It also showed how dangerous things can become for the state and the Republic, when the leadership of the country, the prime minister and his close staff team deviate from what the Constitution and laws and political ethics prescribe.

As Mr. Katrinis said, we see the effects every day and everywhere:

-In the growing crisis of confidence towards the ruling party, the prime minister, the international image of the country, the political system and even the economy

-increasing insecurity, exacerbating polarization and derailing necessary consensus efforts to address the very important issues facing the country.
