The Minister of the Interior Makis Voridis, the president of the National Center for Public Administration and Self-Government (EKDDA) Paraskevi Dramalioti and the General Secretary of Human Resources of the Public Sector presented on Thursday, September 1, the Special Certification Program entitled “Training of Public Servants for inclusion in the P. E. of Staff”.
The aim of the program is the appropriate preparation of executives of the Greek Public Administration in order to claim the positions of the Staff Executives branch in the specialties of Legal Technicians, Public Policy Analysts and Digital Policy Analysts.
The Program is aimed at graduates of the National School of Public Administration and Self-Government (ESDDA) and other public sector executives and their selection will be made through their participation in an extremely demanding written process.
In fact, for the first time in the Greek public administration, the written exam will take place remotely (online), while surveillance will be done by combining human presence and artificial intelligence (AI), utilizing the most modern technological tools.
It is worth noting that the Program as well as the introductory written test were designed by EKDDA in collaboration with the General Secretariat of Human Resources Public Sector of the Ministry of Interior with the support and expertise of DG REFORM of the European Commission, Expertise France and the French National Institute of Public Administration (Institut National du Service Public –INSP, formerly École National d’Administration-ENA).
The Minister of the Interior, Makis Voridis, noted: “This is a high-demand program in which Greek academics and experts of international standing will teach, setting high standards in Public Administration. Our goal is for the successful completion of this educational process to give highly qualified people the necessary prerequisites to serve the public interest from specialized positions”.
The President of EKDDA, dr. P. Dramaliotis, stated for her part: “Using the international experience, we are introducing new educational and professional paths in the Greek Public Administration.
The special program of EKDDA will prepare in the most scientific way the young professionals in the field of Staff Officers. An important innovation is the introductory written process that will be a pilot for the wider use of digital technology in the development and evolution of public sector executives”.
