Along with the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm F2.8 PRO II lens, OM Digital Solutions introduced the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F4.0 PRO lens. According to the manufacturer, the Olympus M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f2.8 Pro, released in 2014, served as the starting point for the design of this telephoto lens. Note that the optical schemes of the two models are different, so, unlike the mentioned M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm F2.8 PRO II, the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F4.0 PRO lens is a completely new product. Claimed to be the lightest and most compact zoom lens ever, with a constant maximum aperture and a focal length range that includes 300mm EGF.
