“Mac computers and all other devices will receive Face ID, and the iPhone will lose its bangs only in 2023” – Bloomberg forecast

Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman said Mac computers will receive Face ID within “a couple of years.”

He added that the Cupertino-based giant’s goal is for all of its products to eventually support Face ID. In other words, even low-cost iPhones like the iPhone SE and iPad Air, which currently support Touch ID, will be equipped with facial recognition technology in the near future. Gourmet added that Touch ID fingerprint scanners are still a key factor in low-cost products as they are a cheaper alternative to Face ID.

He added that the flagship iPhone and iPad models will differ from inexpensive devices by the presence of a sub-screen camera, which will eliminate the notch in the screen. At the same time, the iPhone without bangs, according to Gourmet, will debut in 2023.

Apple’s redesigned iMacs, which were recently released, were expected to support Dace ID as well. However, the implementation of this feature was probably delayed until the next generation.
