Mac Miller’s posthumous album with short film is released; check it out

One Mac Miller posthumous album titled “Balloonism” was released this Friday (17). In total, there are 14 songs. This is the second release since the rapper’s death in 2018.

A short film based on the songs, directed by Samuel Jerome Mason, was also released this Friday. The production is available on Prime Video.

Death of Mac Miller

Mac Miller died at age 26 on September 8, 2018 from an accidental overdose. The drugs in the rapper’s system included fentanyl, cocaine and ethanol, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

He began his music journey as a teenager, releasing mixtapes in his hometown of Pittsburgh. In 2012, their debut album, “Blue Slide Park,” became the first independent debut album to reach the top of the Billboard chart in over 16 years. Miller was 19 years old.
