“The president wanted to reinforce this (military) aid already given to Kyiv” by agreeing to surrender AMX-10 RC light tanks, announced the French presidency. “It is the first time that Western-designed tanks have been delivered to the Ukrainian armed forces,” the presidency clarified after the hour-long telephone conversation between the two leaders.
