French President Emmanuel Macron had telephone conversations with US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday.
The talks followed the one held by the French president on Saturday with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As announced by the Champs-Elysées during the Macron-Biden communication, it was agreed to strengthen sanctions against Russia, increase aid to Ukraine and take all necessary initiatives to bring about a ceasefire in Ukraine. The two men agreed to remain in close contact.
In his communication with Volodymyr Zelensky, President Macron reiterated his support for Europe and briefed him on the decisions taken at the Versailles Summit. The two presidents also exchanged views on Russia’s forthcoming consultations with Ukraine. They also agreed to stay in constant contact.
