French President Emanuel Macron said he felt a compromise solution, including with Bulgaria, had been found on the negotiating framework for Northern Macedonia’s accession to the European Union. “I think we have found a compromise,” Macron told a news conference at the end of a NATO summit in Madrid.
The Bulgarian parliament gave the green light to the government on June 24th to approve the negotiating framework for Northern Macedonia’s EU accession, a move that could allow its neighboring country to start accession talks with the European coalition.
