The H2Med hydrogen pipeline between Barcelona and Marseille will be extended to Germany, French President Emmanuel Macron said after a summit with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Paris.
The construction plan of the European hydrogen pipeline H2Med, aimed at developing the use of hydrogen on the continent, will be extended from the countries of southwestern Europe to Germany, the French president clarified during a joint press conference he gave with the German chancellor.
“We have decided to expand the H2Med project which, thanks to European funding, connects Portugal, Spain and France (…), with Germany, which will be a partner in this hydrogen infrastructure strategy,” said the Frenchman president on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the reconciliation treaty between Paris and Berlin.
