Macron Speech on Monday: May announce new measures against coronavirus

A speech to the French people is expected to be addressed on Monday (12/7) by the President of France Emanuel Macron as the Elysee announced on Friday (9/7), at a time when the health situation in the country is deteriorating due to the Delta mutation.

The French presidency did not elaborate on the content of the sermon. However, sources close to the president said that he intends to present his goals for the last ten months of his presidency, and in particular the reforms he will promote, such as the pension system. It may, however, announce the measures to be taken by the Council against Covid-19, which will meet on Monday morning at the presidential palace. Among the issues that will be discussed is, among others, the mandatory vaccination of medical staff.

“It will take into account the health data”, said on Wednesday the representative of the government Gabriel Atal as broadcast by the Athenian News Agency.

Earlier today, Health Minister Olivier Veran said that Delta mutation is expected to displace all other SARS-CoV-2 virus mutations in France very soon and is currently responsible for about half of the infections recorded daily.
