French President Emmanuel Macron warned Europeans today not to adopt an “every man for himself” attitude following Donald Trump’s victory in the United States presidential election, while calling for a “coordinated European strategy”, a government spokeswoman said. “The trend should not be towards ‘each for himself’, nor towards bilateral relations, but towards a coordinated European strategy,” the head of state told the cabinet, according to government spokeswoman Maude Brezon.
