THE Google released, this Tuesday (10), the list of ten most searched shows by Brazilians on its search platform in 2024. Madonna , Bruno Mars and the brothers Caetano Veloso and Maria Bethânia lead the ranking, which brings together artists ranging from reggae to electronic music.
The queen of pop returned to Brazil in May after 12 years without singing here and performed in front of 1.6 million people on Copacabana Beach, recording the biggest audience of her career. The performance closed “The Celebration Tour”, a tour that celebrated Madonna’s 40-year career, and featured special appearances and tributes to Brazil, in addition to bringing together some of her biggest hits.
Bruno Mars, in turn, played 15 shows in Brazil between October and November. The Hawaiian singer visited São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Belo Horizonte and Curitiba and even celebrated his 39th birthday here. The presentations included some surprise appearances, such as Thiaguinho and Chitãozinho and Xororó, as well as a tribute to Marília Mendonça.
The first national show on the list, Caetano Veloso and Maria Bethânia’s tour marks a reunion for the duo on stage after 46 years. After touring Brazil, the tour will come to an end after three performances at the Allianz Parque stadium, in the west of the city of São Paulo, on Saturday (14), Sunday (15) and Wednesday of next week (18).
