Madonna, 65, celebrated, this Sunday (2), the 93rd birthday of his father, Silvio Ciccone . With a carousel of photos, the Queen of Pop shared recent clicks and older photos alongside her progenitor.
In her caption, the singer wrote: “To the OG Dad — Happy 93rd birthday, Silvio! Congratulations on riding the rollercoaster of life with your humor and sanity intact. Thank you for sharing your life mantra with me which is: 'I will go until the wheels fall off' Nothing can stop us! I love you from here to the moon and back.”
On Mother's Day this year, Madonna also paid tribute to her mother and cited her closeness with her children on tour – four of her six children participated in “The Celebration Tour”, which had its last performance held in Rio de Janeiro, in beginning of last month.
“I stood on stage for 81 performances, looking at my mother's beautiful face and imagining what she must have been thinking as she waved to me from the hospital window”, the artist began the text, showing an image in which she is on stage looking at a photo of his mother on the screen.
The singer's mother, who was also called Madonna, passed away from cancer when the artist was five years old.
