Madonna di Trevignano, Gisella Cardia’s husband: “We didn’t run away: we were attacked and we are protecting ourselves”

After a private investigator presented a complaint to the Civitavecchia prosecutor’s office against Gisella Cardia in recent days, claiming that the tears of the Madonna of Trevignano were actually made with pig’s blood, the seer seems to be disappeared from circulation.

Meanwhile, however, her husband Gianni, in an interview published today on Republiche explained that «the devil is attacking us» and that the couple «suffered physical assaults by people who believed in the Madonna».

According to the visionary’s wife, “a situation of hatred and incitement to hatred has been created through the spread of lies. We were attacked and I am making complaints after complaints. And again, regarding the alleged escape of the woman after the complaint of the private investigator: «We left to protect ourselves. We didn’t run away».

Some “repentant” faithful, on the other hand, maintain that Gisella Cardia and her husband would have “withdrew a large amount of money from both personal and association banks (119,000 euros were donated to the non-profit organization “La Madonna di Trevignano Romano” in 2020 and around 25,000 euros in 2021, ed.)», they «disconnected the utilities of the rented house» and «left Italy by car», as they explained to FanPage. Many former followers are convinced that the seer is abroad, either with her cousin in Romania, or in Poland, where the woman has a large following.

But, like her husband, Gisella Cardia’s lawyer also denies these rumors: «Gisella didn’t run away, it is not abroad but is located in Italy. She lives barricaded in fear of being attacked. This is not the case, but even if you had gone away for Easter like so many other Italians, where would the problem be? ».

Gisella Cardia, 53, is a former entrepreneur in the Sicilian ceramics sector, from Patti: after a bankruptcy – she was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment, with a suspended sentence – she moved to Trevignano. Together with her husband, five years ago, she had traveled to Medjugorje and had brought with her a ceramic statuette of the Madonna. And, one day, this would start to cry. Gisella Cardia also says that she attends the apparitions of the Virgin, every 3rd of the month, that she sends her messages for the faithful. It was she who made the hill above Lake Bracciano – where a copy of the statuette of her has been placed – a place of pilgrimage for devotees.
