The long-awaited day has arrived! Madonna will perform this Saturday (4) a historic show on Copacabana beach, in Rio de Janeiro. The performance will be free and will close “The Celebration Tour”, which marks the artist’s 40-year career. Around 1.5 million people are expected.
The queen of pop is expected to take the stage at 9:45 pm, coming from a catwalk directly from the Copabana Palace hotel. Before that, however, the public will be able to watch the opening acts, which will start at 8pm. Among the artists in this warm-up is the North American DJ Diplo.
The fans, who gather in front of the hotel, have spent the last few days paying attention to the movements taking place on stage. The singer herself even rehearsed alongside Pabllo Vittar, on Thursday (3). See below what to expect from the presentation.
Special participations
Only DJ Diplo is confirmed to take the stage at Madonna's show, before the queen of pop performs. The presence of Pabllo Vittar is also expected, as the singer did a sound check with the diva. On that occasion, Madonna even jumped on the Brazilian's lap.
Other names have already been speculated as possible special appearances, but without confirmation so far. Anitta, 31, even stated that she will miss the Met Gala, which takes place this Saturday in New York, because of Madonna's show, but did not reveal whether she will be there as a fan or as an attraction.
For the after the presentation, the confirmed name is Pedro Sampaio. He himself confirmed his participation in the historic show. Its presentation will take place at Leme stage, in front of the main stage – between Rua Prado Júnior and Avenida Princesa Isabel, in Copacabana.
