Madonna hospitalized for a serious bacterial infection

All our prayers go out to the one and only Material Girl. The legendary Madonna, 64, is currently battling a bacterial infection, her manager Guy Oseary has revealed to fans.

«On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to her being hospitalized for a few days in intensive care», he wrote in a statement posted on Instagram. Now the singer would be out of intensive care, but still hospitalized. This latest news, however, has not been confirmed.

“His health is improving, but he is still under medical supervision. A full recovery is expected,” he continued. Meanwhile, the singer, as Oseary explained, had to change her plans: «Right now we have to pause all commitments, including the tour. We will share further details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and its shows.”

The post immediately went viral and millions of fans wished her a speedy recovery. “Health comes first. Get well soon Queen,” she reads in her comments. The tour Celebration was due to start July 15 from Vancouver.

In her last post before hospitalization, Madonna had instead shared a photo of the preparations for the tour, showing herself and her team at work and titling the shots “The Calm Before The Storm”. .

The alarm, we read on the American sites, was triggered on June 24, when the singer was allegedly found unconscious. In the hospital they would then intubate her.

In 2019 Madonna had to interrupt the tour of Madame X for “indescribable pain” in the joints. At the end of 2020, however, there was a hip replacement surgery.
