Preparations for the show Madonna They are already in full swing! This Sunday (28), two of the three cargo planes with 270 tons of equipment landed at the cargo terminal at Galeão Airport, in Rio de Janeiro. The free presentation will take place next Saturday, May 4th, at 9:30 pm, on Copacabana beach.
According to information provided by the production team responsible for the show, 27 trucks will be used to transport the materials directly to the stage, which will have twice the size of the structure used on “The Celebration Tour”.
To close the tour commemorating 40 years of his career, the stage will be 812 square meters , with 24 meters in front and 18 meters in ceiling height. In addition to the main structure, the singer will circulate along three catwalks and will even have an elevator.
The stage assembly is expected to be completed at the beginning of this week, when preparation of the scenography will begin.
Another part of the equipment that arrived in Rio de Janeiro will still be taken to the hotel, where three academies will be set up . Furthermore, 200 team members will occupy 90 rooms of the place where Madonna will be staying.
On the day of the presentation, 45 wardrobe chests . Among the items kept in them are 40 boxing gloves for one of the choreographies.
From 7pm onwards the stage will feature some opening DJs. At 8pm, American DJ Diplo will be in charge of the show that precedes Madonna's performance. The event will also be broadcast on TV Globo, the Multishow channel and the Globoplay streaming platform.
