Maduro calls for mass mobilization from the Venezuelan people against Washington’s “threats”

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called on Thursday by the National Guard, the Reserves and the “whole people” to mobilize over the weekend in order to tackle the “threats” that, he said, come from the US government. He addressed the call after Donald Trump’s government announced an operation against “drug trafficking” in the Caribbean, with the participation of naval, air and land. According to sources in the US government, three helicopters will be developed, three missiles equipped and the AEGIS system, at least one submarine and other resources off Venezuela. “I found it necessary and appropriate on Saturday and Sunday to organize great mobilizations (…) to say to imperialism: it is now with your threats!
