Opponents of Nicolás Maduro made new allegations of water and electricity cuts at the Argentine embassy in Caracas, which is under Brazilian custody.
“November 28, 8pm: There have been 5 continuous days of police siege in front of the Argentine Embassy residence in Caracas, guarded by Brazil; worsened by the cuts and restrictions of electricity (3 days) and water (2 days)”, wrote in the
This Friday morning (29), the activist made another publication and added that the power cut had already lasted more than 80 hours.

The profile of the opposing political alliance Democratic Unitary Platform was also expressed on social media: “This act of persecution and intimidation violates the human rights of colleagues who are sheltered there, in addition to violating the international treaties that govern the matter.”
Opponents sheltered in the embassy
Last Saturday (23), opponents reported a police siege against the diplomatic headquarters, using drones and hooded agents.
This is not the first time that the six opponents who have taken refuge in the embassy since March have reported intimidation and restrictions imposed by the Chavista government.
In September, some of the asylum seekers reported a siege with police vehicles at the embassy. That same night, the Venezuelan government informed Brazil that it would revoke authorization for the country to represent Argentine interests in Venezuela.
At the time, the Brazilian government responded, however, that the end of the authorization could not be unilateral and there could not be a vacuum in the representation of Argentine diplomatic missions in Venezuela. In addition, the Argentine Foreign Ministry and the Chavista government would have to reach an agreement to designate a replacement country to represent these interests.
The day after the harassment, the Maduro government reported that former candidate Edmundo González had left Venezuela for Spain, the country where he is still taking refuge today.
