Shipping giant Maersk announced that one of its vessels, the Maersk Sentosa, reported being targeted by a flying object in the northern Gulf of Aden today. Maersk told Reuters there were no reports of injuries among crew members or damage to the ship or cargo. A spokesman for the Copenhagen-based company said the ship is one of its US-flagged vessels that sail for its subsidiary Maersk Line, Limited. The master of a merchant vessel reported an explosion near his ship, about 180 nautical miles (333 km) east of Nistoun, Yemen, according to an update from the UK Maritime Safety Organization (UKMTO) today.
