“Maetzawa is looking for company”: Japanese Croesus seeks space travel companions

A multi-member – and specifically an eight-member group – for the trip they plan to make to the Moon is looking for a well-known Japanese croissant.

In fact organizes a competition to find these people who will accompany him in Space.

As reported by Reuters, Giazakou Maetzaua, 45, sold the online fashion company Zozo Inc., which he owned to SoftBank Group Corp., for about $ 4 billion and now lives a life endowed as a real celebrity in his home country.

Last year, he announced that he was looking for unmarried women over the age of 20 to participate in a documentary, but also an elite one to accompany him in space.

“As feelings of loneliness and emptiness begin to overwhelm me, I only think of one thing: to continue to love a woman,” Maetzaua wrote last year on a website calling for candidates.

Along the way he met Elon Musk and told him that wants to take a trip into space and is willing to pay whatever it takes.

The South African owner of Space X. accepted the request and agreed to make an eight-day trip in which Maetzaua will leave Earth, take a walk around the Moon and return to Earth.

The trip is scheduled to take place in 2023 and the agreement stipulates that the Japanese billionaire will have company of his choice.

The competition will start on March 14 with candidates initially submitting an application to the website created for this purpose. Those on the pre-selection list will have to undergo medical examinations and online interview procedures in which Maetzaua will also participate.
