Bars, parties, restaurants, work, travel and mutual friends are some of the places and conventional ways in which many people meet a great love, less Josh Radnor, star of “How I Met Your Mother”, who fell in love with his wife, the psychologist Jordana Jacobs, during a psychedelic experience with magic mushrooms at a self-knowledge retreat in the USA.
In an interview with The New York Timesthe artist, who got married this month in New York, recalled the unusual way in which he found out that Jordana was the right woman for him.
Josh and Jordana attended a meditation retreat in 2022 with about 30 people. At the end of the meeting, participants performed a meditation with magic mushrooms, which have psilocybin as their active ingredient, a psychedelic substance with therapeutic potential capable of promoting intense and transformative mystical experiences. The session consisted of ingesting the substance, lying on the floor, blindfolding oneself and listening to the sound of bowls and bells.
Lying oppositely in the room, the artist said that during the experience he connected with Jordana and had an insight that said: “It’s her”…”That’s your wife.”
And so the couple got closer, fell in love and got married thanks to magic mushrooms.
