Magic ToolFlash utility flashes ZIP packages directly from an Android device

When it comes to installing ZIP packages on Android, they resort to using custom recovery (recovery menu), for example, TWRP, since the capabilities available on the smartphone are very limited by the manufacturer. One of the developers of the XDA forum with the nickname huskydg created a utility that allows you to do this without booting into recovery. Magic ToolFlash is a unique take on the Android flashing engine that works without a custom recovery environment. Instead, the command line is used.

All the user needs to do is download the ZIP file to the device and then invoke Magic ToolFlash through any rooted terminal emulator application.

In addition to creating an isolated namespace for security purposes, the utility shows firmware logs. With Magic ToolFlash, you can flash various Magisk modules, the Magisk app itself, as well as any other ZIP packages with mods directly from the command line window on your smartphone using the “flash” command. The developer warns that his utility cannot yet be used to install firmware from the environment of a running Android system, as this will lead to a cyclic reboot (bootlap).

The project itself is in a repository on GitHub, and a ready-to-use version as a Magisk module is available for download at this link.
