On Monday (3/7) night, it appeared “Deer Moon”as it is usually called the Full moon of July. The first of four supermoons was the brightest in the night sky than any other full moon that has occurred this year. The July supermoon appears full for up to three days, according to NASA.
Where did the name “Deer Moon” come from?
This month’s moon is also known as the ‘Deer Moon’. According to the almanac, July is usually the time when male deer’s antlers grow during an annual cycle of shedding and rebirth.

July’s Moon, also known as the Buck Moon, is closer than normal in its orbit around Earth. This is because its trajectory Moon it is not a perfect circle due to the gravitational pull of the Earth.
