The Brazilian Seismographic Network (RSBR) released the information that there was a land tremor in Bahia, on the morning of Tuesday (8).
The trim registered with a magnitude of 2.3 degrees on the Richter scale took place in the municipality of Uauá (BA), at 6:48 am (Brasília time). Low magnitude seismic shake is being analyzed by the USP seismology center.
This is the second land tremor recorded in Bahia in April 2025. The first occurred in the municipality of Andorinha, last Tuesday (1st), and had a magnitude of 1.5.
According to RSBR, low -magnitude land tremors are relatively common in Brazil, especially in the northeast region of Brazil
