Mahmood, star of the Burberry show

The proud look, the quick walk and the evergreen charm. This is how she presents herself Mahmood at the Burberry show staged at Central Hall Westminster in London, seizing the opportunity that allowed him to step on the catwalk of the brand that adopted it four years ago for the first time. With a maxi striped polo shirt and a pair of high-waisted trousers, the singer, who will represent Italy together with Blanco at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song Chills, strengthens the long-standing bond with the creative director Riccardo Tisci, who also designed the outfit that Mahmood wore at the final of the Sanremo Festival.

«It was 2019 when we first met in London. You were one of the first who gave me the opportunity to start working outside Italy too, offering me the first photographic campaign of my life. Being on your show yesterday was a huge gift. Thanks for the advice, I love you ”, was the message that Mahmood dedicated to Tisci on Instagram, thanking him for the opportunity and cultivating the hope that their collaboration will continue for years to come.

Tisci, who presented the new Fall Winter 2022/2023 collection out of the calendar in London, counting not only on Mahmood’s presence but also on top models such as Gigi Hadid, Lea T, Mariacarla Boscono and Irina Shayk, is slowly rebuilding the Burberry brand through a new gender fluidity, without however distorting the concept behind a brand that has made history and that Tisci cultivates the dream of showing once in Milan.
