The Federal District begins vaccination against dengue on the public network this Friday (9). In total, 37 basic health units (UBSs) will offer immunization, without the need for an appointment.
The doses were delivered to the Department of Health on Thursday afternoon (8).
Children and adolescents aged between 10 and 14 years old can receive the dose, as established by the Ministry of Health. In a press conference this Wednesday (7), the Chief Secretary of the Civil House, Gustavo Rocha, guaranteed that there will be doses for all residents of the Federal District who are part of this group.
The Federal District has the highest incidence of dengue cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, with 1733.7. According to data released by the Ministry of Health, there are 48,840 probable cases of dengue in DF alone.
Other states and cities will define the vaccination schedule as they receive doses of the vaccine from the Ministry of Health.
New tents
In addition to immunizations, the government of the Federal District announced the increase in the number of reception tents for patients suspected of dengue – increasing from nine to 18.
