Hi guys. Today we are releasing a major update to the Treshbox that took over a year to develop. Here’s what’s on the site:
- Dark theme on all devices.
- Split APK support (.apks, .apkm) and cached APK (.xapk). This will allow authors to add programs built from the App Bundle. We currently support apps up to 4 GB in size.
- New user profiles. A picture in the header, large avatars, comments, new settings and the option to delete the profile.
- New achievement system. Instead of the old automatic achievements, three achievements are introduced: for authors, commentators and publishers. Each has five levels: bronze, silver, gold, platinum and diamond. Your profiles contain information about the progress made in each direction. VIP statuses, stars, golden nicknames and other elements have been removed, which we will rework and release in the next update.
- New galleries and viewing images.
- Multiple improvements and optimizations throughout the site.
Ah, and most importantly. Today we are releasing a site client – TAPK. Its first version supports installing .apks, .apkm, .xapk and checking for updates of all installed applications through the Trashbox directory.
In addition, the development of new features will start today: communities, statuses, new convenient comments, new application filters and the ability to search for and install them through the client.
