Male Spyropoulos (PASOK – KINAL): The prime minister has enormous responsibilities and must apologize to the Greek people

The secretary of the Central Political Committee of PASOK-Movement of Change, Andreas Spyropoulos, in an interview with the “Open” television station, stated that “since the day Mr. Androulakis filed the indictment, an entire system of power with leading government officials and the government representative were trying to say that all this is something that is happening pan-European, global and other politicians and MEPs have been monitored”.

“A few days later it turned out that the Greek government and the EYP are monitoring a Greek MEP, a candidate for the leadership of the country’s third parliamentary party, and the worst thing is that in the same period of time they tried to trap Mr. Androulakis’ mobile phone with Predator. They were leaking government officials that there are allegedly national reasons. From China, Ukraine, Armenia. One after another the embassies are publicly denying the government leaks,” he noted.

“The Greek people are waiting for the Prime Minister to say clearly why Mr. Androulakis is being monitored by the EYP, who has the Predator and is using it. Who is behind the attempt to trap Mr. Androulakis? The Prime Minister has a huge responsibility because it was personal his choice to bring the EYP under his supervision in the Maximos Palace, to change the legal framework for Mr. Kontoleon to assume the leadership of the EYP. All this is not accidental, the government and personally the prime minister has enormous responsibilities and must apologize to the Greek people, who cannot live in a country without freedoms, in which the rule of law does not work”, stressed Mr. Spyropoulos.

“For us, the most important thing is for the Greek people to learn the truth. To find out who tried to set up this parastatal of surveillance. It is a shame that ND executives do what Mr. Romanos did. Does Mr. Romanos know what the the result of surveillance? We want everything to come to light, for there to be no shadow. Why did New Democracy officials lie to the Institutions and Transparency Committee that there was no surveillance,” concluded the secretary of the Central Political Committee of PASOK-KINAL.
